FOLK ROCK: ON THE ROAD
Some songs are made for the road.
There is a moment on a long drive when the road stops feeling familiar.
The houses disappear. The signs start naming places you have never been. The radio fades in and out. Maybe you have been driving for two hours. Maybe five.
You change the song.
And suddenly it fits.
I have always liked that about music. A song can sit quietly in your life for years and then, one afternoon, become exactly the right song for the road in front of you.
